How do you keep moving when things are on hold?

August 27, 2026

NOW THAT WE’RE NEARING THE END OF AUGUST, we’ve been looking back at the year so far and asking ourselves, “How is it going? For us? And for you?”

As you likely know, we’ve been sharing stories about our clients and projects. Did they resonate? Did they make you smile? Shake your head in disbelief? And is Insurgency becoming a name you recognize and remember?

If any of that is happening, then we’re making progress. Being recognized and remembered is often where a conversation starts.

Now, same question back at you: Are your efforts getting noticed, keeping you memorable, and giving customers and prospects a reason to think of you?

We ask because we’ve heard a similar message from several people this year: they’re holding back.

The reasons vary: tariffs, weaker sales from the U.S., uncertainty about 2027, customers holding back, or simply, “We’ve never done this before, so we need to move slowly.”

We get all of it. But there can also be a cost to waiting: beyond missed opportunity costs, unused budget may be harder to protect when next year’s numbers are being set.

So how do you keep moving without overcommitting?

Maybe you start with something more focused. Let’s have a conversation and see what that could look like. There’s no commitment in talking, and because we’re a smaller agency but with more senior resources, we can often be more flexible about where we start, both in scope and budget.

Even one effort now can give you useful learning and something concrete to point to when 2027 decisions are being made.

Let me know what you think. If it makes sense, let’s connect and talk through what a focused first step could look like.
